I think Scandinavian Airlines System, removed the Bombardier Dash-8 Q300/Q400 in their fleet…Maybe they should have tried ATR72-500, I sit comfortably on ATR72-500 than the Qseries

In most emergency checklists it clearly states: landing with one main landing gear defective – DO NOT ATTEMPT.

In this case they knew the gear would fail, so I have no clue why they did not opt for a belly landing. Also, in case of gear malfunctions you want to shut down the engines upon touch down, feather them so to speak and shut down the fuel supply. I did not see it in this case either. 25 sec for the engines to stop is way too long.

Was it a known possibility before the landing that the gear may fail? if they did know they probably should have pulled all the gear up and did a belly skid, just to keep it straight, although this plane looks like it could lean one way or the other cause the wings are high.

They may claim they did not need to check this bolt, but any idiot knows they should have.

Yeah, In Sweden political correctness is far more important then human lives or the survival of major companies.

So SAS probably employed immigrants that just recently arrived from Somalia and who have never before seen anything more technically advanced then their mud hut.
